Why is this so?

       Humans appear to be genetically programmed to open every door, or metaphorically speaking, to "click on every link", which conceals something which is unknown to them.

       We should thus go easy on Eve; had she not bitten into the apple first (read "click on a forbidden link"), then Adam, surely would have. It was in their nature to do so, ... and so it is in ours.
