Announcing CFA'S FIRST RED LYNX PT BIRMAN TO GRAND in
CHAMPIONSHIP in CFA since the new colors were accepted in
May 2001.
This is a very great honor! I thank Jane & ALan Stiner
of NYC for taking Dandy to the top! It took a lot of time
and dedication to get a Grand win on a red lynx Birman.
Dandy was a special guy right from birth. Well, he was kind
of slow to get started, only appearing 8 hours AFTER the
girls arrived! and then he didn't want to wake up for the
longest time!
When he finally decided to get with the program, there was
no holding him back! Dandy was different. He didn't seem
interested in any of us, or anyone who came to visit. He
didn't have any interest in playing with the other cats or
kittens, in fact, the ONLY thing he seemed interested in
was FOOD! In fact, the only time we would even see him was
when food was being served!
He would appear, stretch, eat, and disappear again! We were
never sure where he went.
In Feb., Jane came up for a visit. Well, she barely sat
down on the couch when Dandy appeared out of nowhere,
jumped up on her lap, and gazed into her face! Well, it was
truly love at first sight! Dandy never left her for a
minute the whole time she was here, and he gladly follwowed
her back to NYC to become a Star!
I don't think that either Jane or I had any choice in what
was happening. It was just meant to 'be'.
Well, Dandy settled himself well in Manhatten, and the love
affair continued to grow. Anyone seeing Jane & Dandy in
the show hall can see it plain as day! Dandy could manage
to charm most everyone that he met. He is sweet, gentle,
and has beautiful expressive deep blue eyes!
I went to Garden State show that summer, and Jane, Alan
& Dandy came too! It was great to see all of them! I
was standing holding Dandy, talking to someone, when
suddenly, Dandy looked right up into my face, and gently
reached with his paw and touch my cheek! I swear I could
see the love on his face, as he had just recognized me, his
first mom, and I would like to think that he was thanking
me for helping him get to his life partner, Jane.
Sometimes we see things that are beyond explaining, and
sometimes it seems we have no control at all!
This relationship between Dandy and Jane, I believe is a
very old one from past lives. The love that Dandy shows in
his eyes when he looks at Jane is really very special. I am
so please that Jane fell as hard as Dandy did, and that
Dandy was able to follow Jane to NYC.

He is a special boy who deserved to
find his special people.
