Host families invite Belarussian children for six,
eight, or twelve
week summer vacations. The host family provides the Belarussian child with day-to-day care, including wholesome
food and fresh air to help reduce radiation
levels and improve their immune systems.
Although the children are considered healthy, their immune systems are weakened due to
radioactive fallout. While in Canada, the children receive medical, dental,
and optometric care not available to them in Belarus.
Host families are responsible for travel costs and living expenses while their child is in Canada. Our organization
holds a variety of fundraising events and all proceeds are divided among the
host families to help offset expenses.
